i like these better. BTW i just reposted this with a tutorial on how to do it. :)
Oh yes, definitely eff the rock candy. These looks so fun on the branches!!!
Wow...I really like that. I love anything woodsy/rustic. I already have our centerpieces but I'm definitely going to find a place for this project at our wedding. Thanks for posting!
loving this! i'm thinking of scrapping my original centerpieces now too, haha.
they are both great ideas. i would go with this one - less time intensive, better for travel and quicker set up, and still very pretty.
If you still want to use some of the rock candy, what you may want to do is just string one small rock on thin craft or fishing wire and dangle a few pieces from a few branches. That might be pretty touch.

I love this. The rock candy is cool, but this seems like there is less that can go wrong...
I like this much, much better. I didn't quite understand how the whole rock candy idea was going to come together, but this seems to fit your venue crazy well.
not only do i love this idea, i think it will be less of a pain in your ass than rock candy...just saying.
Aw, I hate to see you abandon your rock candy dreams. Maybe there's some other way to use that idea...?
mmm is this a weird idea? you know how those hanging crystal doodads are so popular now on branchy centerpieces? maybe you do little 'crystals' of rock candy and hang them off the branches to add a bit of delicious glam to the simple branch/paper flower arrangements? and then people can still pick them off and enjoy while having something centerpiece-y looking intact =).
your really are good on making flowers, you do! :) keep it up!
