#543: bouts.

i thought i needed 5 bouts.

groom: 1
groomsmen: 3
father of the bride: 1

but i think i need 3 more.

groom's brothers-in-law: 2
bride's brother: 1

that's a total of 8 bouts. and i desperately want to get them from myra but i haven't heard from her in almost a month, after i sent her two etsy convos. she's way in demand, i get that, and i know via her recent apologetic posts that she's been super busy.

i would give up altogether but can i just tell you. 3 trips to michael's later and i'm still stumped as to how to get the materials she uses. so. i guess i'll just have to wait.

unless. i decide fabric bouts are the way to go.

Eff the bouts. Men hate em. (I wasn't even allowed to say the word in my house.)

I dig this:

Hmm... I made my hubby and the groomsmen, et. al. bouts and know what happened? He hated them... ran outside and found Mum flowers instead... Must say it worked! LOL

All of your bout ideas have been so cool, but I have to say, my fiance hates them too. Said they remind him of prom.

I'm totally anti-bout. Really, what's the point? But in a huge shocker, my fiance demanded we have them. Weird, huh? So I'm going to see if he'll dig a homemade version like these, only made out of felt: http://dozidesign.blogspot.com/2008/05/paper-flower-tutorial.html

Sort of like the 'Flower pins' sold here: http://llubav.com/

I'm doing my own bouts. My family expects it and all that jazz. I'm using the bout holders at Joann's though. They're little metal cones that you just hot glue your flowers down into. I made a sample one for my fiancé for a recent formal we attended. It stayed upright the entire time! They have a sort of safety pin attached, so you don't have to fool with the florist pins. If you like, I could e-mail you a pic...

you're a better woman than me...i asked the HTB if he wanted bouts and he said no so that's what we're going with.

hey there...about the myra's bouts. i am planning on making my own version of something similar to hers...i can direct you to a website that has the little velvet flowers in many colors if you would like. it is definitely one of the main parts of her bouts!
