dear husband-to-be:
a quick email to tell you not to worry about planning the honeymoon. i will take care of it all.
thank you for supporting my dreams and working so hard to create a privileged lifestyle for us.
you spoil me.
love,
wifey-to-be

the fiance's company recently experienced a reorg. and i'm sure you know what that really means. fiance is fortunately still with the company...but is going to be extremely overwhelmed and busy with work stuff over the next few months.
in slightly less important matters, this also means that although i had delegated the honeymoon bit of the planning entirely to him, i will now have to take that on myself as well.
when i first realized that i'd have to do everything a-z, i felt a pang of exasperation. because i'm a selfish broad and it doesn't help that fiance spoils me like crazy.
but i'm learning from him. and learning to be more like him. and most of it is good. *wink*
the point: the exasperation was short-lived and now i'm eager to help relieve him of this burden. yes. it's like i'm growing up. or something.

Oh that will be sooo much fun!! :D
Yeah sometimes I get exasperated with the hubs and his inability to do something things. In the greater scheme of things I'm very lucky and spoiled rotten my wonderful husband.
Get on expedia or travelocity and have them give you a hand :)
This could be tons of fun... well not having FH not around b/c always working but the honeymoon planning :)
RelentlessBride
Honeymoon planning will be a nice respite from wedding planning don't you think! ;)
Where are you thinking of going?
Where will you be going?
My hubby to be wanted to take on the honeymoon himself. I don't even know where I'm going and I'm fine with that. Maybe you can do the same thing? It will definitely take some of the stress off and also make it pretty fun for him.
you can do it!! and hey, i've asked around, and people have told me the WONDERS of using travel agents.
they'll probably save you some money, and some valuable time.
I'm a travel agent and just had to write and say thanks to flamingo for such a kind word. There are tons of deals out to the Caribbean these days...
oh and I planned my own wedding too... and have a little blog about that. Good luck! :)
Planning the honeymoon will be the icing on the cake after all of the hard work you are putting into the wedding. Have fun. Enjoy. And remember, by planning it yourself, you get to have/do EXACTLY what you want!!!! Doesn't get much better;-)
dood. pretty much the same thing is happening to us over here. the fiance's company did some major cuts last week. it was ROUGH. luckily, he's still employed, but things have changed and anyway, he was in charge of the honeymoon, and still is at this point. but i have a slliiiiight feeling i will end up taking that over. we are torn. europe or beach vacay? waiting to see a grand slashing of air fares, and we will decide from there i guess...
