we were also doing the black suit thing, but then there are different shades of black, so we don't know if we all have the same shade. it looks weird to me with 4 different shades of black.

i would check ebay for ties. there are people from florence who sell their silk ties on the street and online.

I would post on weddingbee but I'm not a member there and don't feel like joining. We used toybreaker on etsy and they did a great job and were really quick. I believe they will even work with you on a custom design/colors if you can't find anything you like.

Also to EBM - I got married a few weeks ago and the guys all wore their own black suits but no one (including me) noticed that the suits were different shades of black.

i'm looking for ties too. it is impossible to find olive green plain satin ties! you can also try http://www.cheap-neckties.com/. my friend ordered from there. she said the $5 ones feel cheap but the ones that are a little more expensive are nice.

My favorite ties are here - http://cyberoptix.com/ . They're a little pricey. I've always wanted to get the Clipper Ship tie for Captain.

Toybreaker! Who cares if the shades of black are different? The people are different too. When, in real life, do we ever match, or do guys in suits ever match?

Also - we're giving them the color palette and letting them wear their own ties. Though we are considering toybreaker ties as gifts.

I'm looking for a good place to find nice "skinny" ties. My partner is going to wear a suit, but she doesn't like the way normal width ties look. The TieBar has a few skinny ties...but I have something very specific in mind.

We're doing black suits as well, but no ties for the groomsmen...debating on doing one for the groom. It just makes things a little bit more edgy and then we don't have to worry about matching ties. The girls are wearing 3 different shades of blue for their dresses. Definitely unorthodoxed.

Toybreaker all the way! (Same company as Cyberoptix TieLab, b/t/w.)

Emilia Jane, I love you, but you have not done much tie shopping if you think $30-40 each is pricey. Just saying.
