#482: next obsession.

i'm getting burnt out on garlands. although, here's another one. made entirely of cupcake liners. couldn't resist.

you are my fave via emilia of auburn & ivory. <-- p.s. love her blog!

anyways, so on to the next collection of inspiration.

lay bouts!

all bouts via twigs & honey.

so i was just going to post these for inspiration but now i'm starting to think that maybe i should leave the bout-making to a professional. and specifically to myra.

what would you do?

I especially like the cupcake liner garland, as I've been working my way through the Magnolia Bakery cookbook myself lately! Super cute.

I too would leave it up to Myra... and AM doing so! I am so thrilled to have her on board. A little secret, her bouts were the first images I swooned over, and have all but defined the theme of our wedding!! Love Love Love Myra!!

Hi Ten Thousand Only,

Just had to comment when I saw your inspiration included Myra Callan's, (Twigs and Honey) designs! I just received the bouts she designed for our wedding, and so far they are my favorite element. They are colorful, quirky and I am totally in love. She also did a hair flower for me, my MOH sister and flower brooches for my mom, MIL, and my FH's grandmothers. Every one is gorgeous.

She is wonderful to work with and I cannot recommend her enough!

I actually blogged those bouts a couple days ago too! I'm planning to try making my own, but her prices are so reasonable and with Nicky's positive feedback maybe I'll just buy them? They're so lovely!

I'm a big fan of DIY projects, but you have to ask yourself - Can you make something just as wonderful for significantly less $$$ ? For this, I say: Leave it to the professionals!

P.S. I showed these exact styles to my fiance & he thought they were pretty cool... that's a lot coming from 'Mr. I have no opinion about the wedding, as long as it makes you happy'

Bouts are easy-peasy to make. OTOH, you only have so much time, and Myra's are so lovely! I'd order 'em.

We are just doing simple roses for our bouts, so we are just going to do them ourselves

We didn't go the bout route, but I think those are so unique and fresh! If the price is right, I'd say order away!

I totally love the cupcake liner garland! It's so similar to the fabric one you like, but SO much simpler and would still be high style and complement the elegant simplicity of your venue. :) I say go for it!
