garland royale via eastside bride.
some of the others in the running:
to jog your memory (and inner designer), here's what our ceremony room looks like (minus the christmas decorations and fairy lights and petals and candles and hopefully the bust on the mantle).
i want to hang a little bit of something across the chandeliers, to give the room a "festive" element. i briefly considered hanging mobiles on string...but then ex-nayed that idea.
still debating which garland to use...if at all. maybe just some sheer ribbon would be enough. hm.

The important thing isn't how much you spend, but who you marry.
Garlands are everywhere! I posted about them last week - http://theauburnandivory.blogspot.com/2009/01/garlands.html !
Your garland choices look beautiful. I think I like the design of the pink and yellow ones the best!! But I'm sure whatever you choose will be flattering. Trust yourself! You'll make it look great!
Oh, by the way, since I'm cruising your page I'd like to invite you to vote for me in a contest that I'm in to win a wedding logo. If you'd like, please go over to motifdesigns.blogspot.com and vote for Authentically U Bride in the top right corner of the page.It only takes a second. Thanks so much. I really appreciate it. Since I have a monogram them, I could really use a custom monogram/logo.
And thanks again for the photo inspiration about the garland. Your reception room looks like its going to be beautiful!
I LOVE the second option! very sophisticated. The ones around the mirror would be my second fave.
oh I love all of those options. I think I like the first one best.
I like the first one a lot. The second one seems a bit more vintage, and kind of looks like it would fit the space nicely.
I completely adore the garlands you posted...such a cool variety out there. That said, I think the room stands on its own, you know? Plus, I garlands might be too casual for a room that formal.
I like the 2nd option with the flower garland.
Have you considered hanging crystals from the chandeliers? I saw some relatively inexpensive ones in the bridal aisle at Michaels Crafts the other day :)
Oh, I just love the bold pink garland. So fun!
I agree with Eliza, I think the room stands on its own. The garlands are great and I'm totally using the felt idea next Christmas, but just don't seem to 'fit.'

I am also making garland. I'm modeling mine on this... http://jessedeanna.blogspot.com/search?q=garland Currently, I am surrounded by piles of pastel circles and embroidery floss! Mindless and sorta fun.
