- i love discovery, details, and organizing the nooks and crannies. when i began this blog, i wasn't even engaged. i was just obsessed with the thought of planning a meaningful, wonderful, special day...with a strict budget in tow. and now i'm married. i didn't meet my goal of a $10,000 wedding, but have no regrets. i hope you will be able to take some good ideas from this collection as compiled from blogs i visit daily. my journey isn't your journey. but maybe it can help. xo.

Budget Smudget. You tried and did a ton of DIY. I think that's commendable. You had a gorgeous wedding, and I don't think anyone could fault you for trying to stick to the 10,000 dollar mark, or going a bit over or under. I honestly don't think it matters anymore how much money was spent.
I've been trying really hard to have my wedding be as cheap as $10,000, but I honestly don't know how you can even come close. I live in Chicago and I think my reception site + Catering comes close to 8k! And without alcohol, no less (and i've been doing everything DIY that I possibly can).
I give you props for even coming within 5K of that!

All of these women trying to congratulate and commiserate with each other for spending more on a one-day celebration of their L-O-V-E than most people in this world see in a lifetime.
