#646: *thank you.*

hey you. a million thanks for being so nice to me.

i feel like i've bared my SOUL by exposing my face but...it's not like you don't know how my soul works anyways. eh?

and also, many thanks to max, who, by making us clowns look so soft...and me, the consummate non-dainty, look downright wispy at times...gave me the courage to show you us.

**************************************

the day went by quickly...but i remember every moment.

like, i remember when we were up at the altar. when i was looking into his eyes. when i was thinking, he's kinda cute...i wonder if he thinks i look pretty today...wow.. i'm getting married... stop crying..get it together (to myself).

i also remember the words we said to each other. how he promised to take me shopping (no really. he did. "i will...take you shopping". that's what he said.) how he said he would always provide a safe place. how i said i would always listen. the jokes we laughed at...

when we stood in the back of the room and watched the slideshow my sister labored over for like a million hours. our first dance. our second dance. (we like to dance.) our first bite of prime rib (heaven). the toasts. slicin' up our itty bitty cake. when his mom and i cut the rug with our awesome dance moves. seeing all of our guests, most of them from out of town, together in one room. hugging each person.

i'm normally not as attentive (ask anyone who knows me)...to anything -- but i really was on that day. i WAS a sponge. i soaked it all in.

**************************************

i was really really happy.

Alright. So I'm not the sappy type or anything. Actually I think I'm kinda a lot like you (unless you're the sappy type and just haven't shared that side of yourself yet.. I think not).

But.. this kinda almost brought a tear to my eye. Sitting at my desk in my office. Not knowing you. Wow. For real. I love your blog and hope you continue it even though you're done with your wedding. Because your blog is my favourite wedding blog. You make me feel like I'm not screwing up my own wedding plans. And I like it. So thanks for writing.

I've never cried during a movie.
I don't cry during songs, I don't cry during tv shows, I just don't generally cry during anything that doesn't directly affect me.

I teared up after reading this post.
I'm so glad things went will.

Keep on soaking it up, for all us girls still waiting for the man worthy enough to give us a ring.

So, um, I am an idiot!! I swooned over your pictures (a few times actually), and somehow, it didn't click that it was you?!?! I should have known when I saw the purple rosettes, Lawry's, ties that don't suck, red nails... I should have known?!?! Anyways, you are beyond gorgeous... and that dress... SWOON!! I love the soft, reflective, romantic feel of the pics (shout out to Max!!), and love your glowing smile... pure joy and happiness!! It is so great to hear that you were able to soak it all up... can't wait to hear more! PS..., your man is a hottie:)

It must have been hard to share your face. I'm so glad you did. The photos really do reflect the joy & emotions of the day. Which isn't just a testament to Max's work, although it doesn't hurt, but to your relationship with your husband, friends, and family. Thank you for sharing so much of yourself.
I can't wait to hear & see more. You have been a tremendous help to me and our wedding.
p.s. I can't believe you don't feel dainty. You are a dainty sized person.

I've been following you for a while now, looking to your wedding for inspiration for my own (which is finally now underway) and, with your creativity and general amiability, you strike me as such an internally beautiful person. Having "bared your soul" by baring your face, it comes as no surprise to me that your external beauty is just as great. You made a LOVELY bride, and it's no wonder, since you had so much naturally to work with.

Don't ever let me catch you being so self-deprecating again. =) And by the way: congratulations!
