#630: our vows.

awwwww shiz. break out the kleenex yo.

i know i'm going to lose it when we say our vows to each other. we (as in I) decided to use the format sara and matt used. except we're cutting out the "because i love you ____________" bit.

so basically, we're going to each state 5 "i love you because ___________"s.

we finally finished them last night and i like them. we're clearly not trying to impress anyone with our wit or sentiment (you know. because we both have both in spades.) and i'm actually surprised neither of us went the overly-sentimental-gag-me or haha-so-funny-but-not-really route.

our words to each other are exactly that. words. words to describe what is normally very hard to put into words.

my favorite line from his vows: i never want to be without you.

i'm thinking of responding: suckaaaaaa.

My hubby and I used the "I love you because..Because I love you" format, and it made writing our vows very simple. Just like you said: they were just words. Not overly sentimental, and very specific to our relationship. I told my hubby I loved him because of his cooking and grilling skills. Which is completely true.

Sweet. We might do the same thing, haven't decided. Maybe we should get on that, having only 2 weeks!

Check out the cool ritual I just posted about today. Thought you might like it. xoxo you're doing great!

Awww, this is so sweet.

P.S. How many of us need to vote YES on saying "suckaaa" before you do it?

sooo, just because i'm in law school and took a family law exam yesterday - double check what your state's laws are on what you have to say. some states actually require that you "vow" something. i mean, i'm sure it's not a problem though.

(ps. PLEASE add "suckaaaaa" to your wedding somehow!)

I was all soppy when I read 'i never want to be without you' and then cracked up at the last part. good stuff, I tell you, good stuff.

matt and sarah's vows are fabulous and we almost used them. but you're cutting out the actual "vow" part, as in you subtracted the whole promise thing. Is that intentional?
