#210: american apparel.

from something old, something new.

twobirds bridesmaid features an amazing conception. but at $270/$290 a pop, it is out of my (imaginary) budget. the picture above reminded me of american apparel. i mean, aren't they the ones who first introduced 'how-to's on wearing long pieces of fabric a million different ways? anyways, so this version is kinda skin-tight but for a group of confident bridesmaids, but they'd more than fit the bill. literally, at less than $34 a pop and lots of pretty, bold colors. yes ladies. this is 1 dress, worn 3 different ways.

I just wanted to say that I discovered your blog yesterday, and I LOVE your writing style. I am also not engaged, but I really want to plan my wedding, I'm expecting to get engaged within the next 6 months or so (maybe??) I also loved your posts on BM's and how to choose them. Anywho, I think we could be great friends. And that's all. I will continue to read. <3ashley

If twobirds are out of your budget (mine as well) check out my post today about similar dresses from BR. I think you'll like them.

I actually plan to get married in that dress.

It's a very casual elopement, really... and I wanted something I would wear again and again.

only if you want your bridesmaids to look like sluts...

There is also an option with a fuller skirt at AA that has the same top options...

Wow, those are some seriously inappropriate dresses for bridesmaids (the American Apparel ones)... no thank you. I want my bridesmaids to look classy, not trampy.

My bridesmaids are wearing the twobirds dresses for my wedding in two weeks, and they look HOT in the dresses. We did a try on party so they could figure out what looked best.

Victoria's Secret actually has their own version for like $99 and I think there are like 7 different ways to wear it.
