#10: an oldie but goodie.

i must must must file this site away as an all-time favorite of finding one-of-a-kind dresses. not only for my closet, but also for...dum dum dummmmmmm...the wedding dress.

http://www.vintageous.com/dressy.htm

on the left, $365.

on the right, $165.

one drawback: i don't have a 21-inch waist but apparently a lot of women in the 50's did.

hello,

i'm not sure where you're located (i didn't bother looking, haha) but i'm a dallas bride-to-be on a budget too, and i found my dress at a watters sample sale for $150! AND 3 bm's dresses for $30/each!the version of my dress that was actually put into production (style 1084B)retails for well over $1200 and the bm dress (style 7415)
is in the current collection & sells for at least $182. oooh, and i found favors for $0.49/each at pottery barn after christmas (orig. price $10). all this to say that there are deals to be had if you keep your eyes open. good luck!

I think I had a 21 inch waist in the 12th grade. So I was 17. I guess back in the 50s women got married super young so...
