#274: does yours?

so. one of the ways in which the bf spoils me is by completely peeling grapefruit for us to enjoy together. he's much better about having the patience to prep food before digging in (me = dig right in) so i suppose it's partly his nature to want to peel the grapefruit entirely before eating it. but i look at it like this...he could cut the grapefruit in half and hand me mine to deal with my own way which would be to bite away the pulp from each piece without peeling anything...patience, what?

but he doesn't. he peels his half. and also peels my half (completely clean of the white fibrous bits, just the way i like it).

can't make this sh*t up. i love my man.

I hear you. My partner also peels oranges for me since I have tactile issues. I know - quirky on my part but adorable on his. :-)

i love the little things boys do. lol, whenever i fall asleep, my bf will take off my glasses for me. i just nap in my glasses...that way when i wake up i can just get up and go. or, more accurately, pick up watching the tv from where i left off.

That's very neat. I love oranges, but I hate peeling them.

My fiance does alot of little things for me though. When we go to dinner, he always puts my leftovers in the box for me.

o.k. I am old, and so, I think differently about these things. All I can say is "wow".

Seems kind of, very kind of, sexy to me.

Yes, I'm weird that way. But this is up their with having your guy wash your hair.

I just read your entire blog. Like, the ENTIRE thing. No seriously, I have a life, I swear.

Anyway, I thought I would give you some ideas that I have been contemplating as of late:
www.blurb.com - make your own wedding album on the cheap. I have a lot of friends with digital cameras, it seems like a natural fit.

I am making stained wooden boxes and filling them with limes and oranges, with leaves.

Either that, or I am getting 10 white taper candles, bunching them together, sticking them tightly in a metal container that has been covered in blue paper with a ribbon around it. (Think sedar candles)

I am also going to www.kaersen.com for my wedding dress, as well as allowing the 'maids to choose a black dress of their choosing, as long as a blue sash would look good with it.

(Some people may have a problem with kaersen.com, but hey, my budget is 5000, if you can afford to buy American, so so! Otherwise, go somewhere else.)

My invites will be made by me, and I will be doing my own embossing. Strangely, I have found fly filter paper (the stuff industrial companies use to filter the gunk out of their fryers)makes excellent invite paper, it almost has the same texture as handmade paper. I am going to try to do a mock-up of an invite to see if the ink bleeds on the paper, which is my only real concern.

I am also thinking of putting together a website, but more for my own uses.

Sorry to hijack your comments, I just thought you might like some more ideas!

these were the centerpiece ideas I had. Can you tell I didn't proofread?

Also it's FRY paper, not fly paper.
